I saw The Ad this morning. Nailed. Him.
If you haven't seen DeSanctimonious's latest political ad, you may be wondering how this agreement could happen. The title should tell you everything: "On the Eighth Day." It's a compliation of video of nice places in Florida, and Governor DeSanctimonious. The voice over says "On the eighth day, God looked at his creation and decided it needed a defender..."
Yeah, he's now marketing himself as "God's Defender." This is commonly considered heresy among actual believers. Of course, the Christian Nationalist (which is about as "Christian" as "National Socialism" was socialist) droolers will eat it up with a spoon.
I wonder what that other thing Trump's right about is?
Well, one thing I know is that you, Robert B. Hubbell, are a thoughtful person. I am grateful to read your daily newsletter. A gentleman in Tracey, California where I was canvassing Saturday wrote on the handout I had for Josh Harder, "All is good." I like that!
I have spent the past 3 days GOTV canvassing. I have met some incredibly nice, engaging, and supportive voters. It has been very encouraging and most helpful for my psychy (how do you spell that word?!) I am exhausted and overwhelmed. The positive's have far outweighed any negatives I have encountered. I strongly encourage anyone that has not volunteered to do so. It's the positive interactions that create the energy we all need right now. I live in a rural Maine county with lots of 'loud and proud' Republican voters. Canvassing has wrapped me in the warmth of knowing we have lots of 'not loud' (- quiet) progressives that continue to be involved and vote. May the force be with us all.
I was thinking about the title of Friday's Newsletter "If Republicans win, you lose ...". Like many fellow Democrats I am concerned that too many Democrats are insufficiently motivated to vote - my wife and I voted early. The last thing I want is for Tuesday to become Götterdämmerung for our democracy.
Urging everyone in California (which is blue statewide, but reddish-purple in many Central Valley and So Cal Swing US House Districts) to be in touch with at least 3 of their blue-leaning friends and family and make sure they return their ballot in or vote in person by Nov. 8. As of Nov. 6, only 20% of CA ballots have been returned. This election is ALL ABOUT TURNOUT. Here's the data as of end of day 11/6/22. NOTE: Younger people need to step it up!!!

Actually I was comforted by the title. It IS hard. But solidarity of purpose, no matter the outcome is vital.
So agree! I'm talking with relatives in Kansas this afternoon to confirm they are voting. Closing the circle for democracy and personal rights!!

I decided canvassing today for Dems. In New Hampshire was better than biting my nails at home. It was.
