I received several emails from readers who thought that the title of today’s newsletter suggested that people should cease work. That wasn’t the point of my effort to address the psychological stress of waiting, but to remove all doubt:
There is still time to get out the vote!
Here is a note from one reader who is at the forefront of the GOTV efforts:
It's not time to wait. There is still plenty of GOTV work to do. I spent 12 hours textbanking and phonebanking yesterday for 8 different campaigns and I helped a lot of people find their polling location. I even convinced a few fence-sitters to vote for the Democrat in their Congressional district. I'll be doing the same thing today and tomorrow until polls close.
Here is Force Multiplier's newsletter this morning: Force Multiplier (forcemultiplierus.org):
Action Item: Talk to Everyone!
It's not too late to lend a hand.
As you know, turnout is everything, so pick up the phone + talk to people that you know in the battleground states.
(Let's put our relational network to work.)
MAKE SURE THAT THEY SHOW UP + VOTE
Force Multiplier has candidates in 22 states who need every vote.
Thanks to everyone who is still working to get out the vote and who will be working to ensure that every vote is counted!
Talk to you tomorrow!
Well, it was bound to happen, the law of probability says it's inevitable, everyone knows a stopped clock is right twice a day...
Donald Trump has said something I agree with completely.
Don't faint! I bet many of you do, too.
"Ron DeSanctimonious"
I saw The Ad this morning. Nailed. Him.
If you haven't seen DeSanctimonious's latest political ad, you may be wondering how this agreement could happen. The title should tell you everything: "On the Eighth Day." It's a compliation of video of nice places in Florida, and Governor DeSanctimonious. The voice over says "On the eighth day, God looked at his creation and decided it needed a defender..."
Yeah, he's now marketing himself as "God's Defender." This is commonly considered heresy among actual believers. Of course, the Christian Nationalist (which is about as "Christian" as "National Socialism" was socialist) droolers will eat it up with a spoon.
I wonder what that other thing Trump's right about is?
Well, one thing I know is that you, Robert B. Hubbell, are a thoughtful person. I am grateful to read your daily newsletter. A gentleman in Tracey, California where I was canvassing Saturday wrote on the handout I had for Josh Harder, "All is good." I like that!
