I want everyone to hear Hutchinson’s video, not least the members of the North Carolina legislature. She is a real heroine for out times. The good economic news that is beginning to surface is a most effective antidote to the fact that the Big Lie had infected every area of our lives. The tide feels like it is beginning to turn. Thank you, as always, Robert, for keeping your readers true to their “passion.”

Thank You Robert for this excellent newsletter and fully doable solutions. Thanks in particular for your reference to the outstanding group, Rattle The Windows. I served as a public health nurse in West Virginia in 1979-1981 and later served on our county social services board here in Michigan for 8 years. Amy Jo Hutchison is exactly right. And the conditions she describes exist in every state of this imperfect union. We mudt make our voices heard.

Robert, do you know of a way we could send Amy Jo Hutchison a check (perhaps many small checks from people who heard her?) to thank her for coming to D.C. to speak to Congress and help with the bills she had to not pay in order to do that!! THANK YOU! Anne Chamberlain

I write for a newsletter called The Resistance Prays, which started in the first year of the Trump presidency, and now continues. Thanks so much for the Rattle the Windows link and info. It was so helpful in framing how people of faith should be talking about this — and what Jesus really meant went he said “the poor will always be with you” (eg: poverty is structural, and we should be challenging the structures, not demonizing the people who are caught in them).

Today I cancelled my subscriptions to the Washington Post and the New York times. I made clear until the accurately tell me what is really happening in the economy , I will not use there services. They are no better then fox news. As

Colonel Vindman said to fox news viewers. Walk down your street does look anything like what there telling you?( I think I have his name spelled wrong). We will have civil unrest in this country if we can't see the real picture of what is happening. No one will wins in civil unrest.

Here is the link to Ms. Hutchinson's Rattle The Windows Facebook page. If every one of Robert's readers went right now and clicked "Follow," and shared it with all of our FB and Twitter accounts and even commented (I'm too old for Tik Tok and INstagram (!) but go for it if you have accounts) that would be a giant boost to her work. Let's do this!!! https://www.facebook.com/rattlethewindows

Here's a suggested 280 character (exactly!) tweet to share Ms. Hutchinson's video. I added a few words to post on FB.

@rattlewindows Why Child Tax credit? Because children go hungry. Amy Jo Hutchinson challenged Congress: current poverty guidelines are ridiculously out of touch. Reps get $40K for office furniture - family of 6 gets no assistance if they make over $35,580! https://youtu.be/5-q584bITIk

Thank you so much for this. I loved your first podcast and hope you will send links to where we can participate in letter writing. I've been writing letters on my own for the past five plus years, but this sounds really strategic and more powerful.

Jo Hutchinson is THE voice of the working poor. How can I help pay her bills so she can speak out more?!

Very glad to see you shift to talking about the positive. This is much better than trying to address the nonsense put forth by those who don't argue in good faith

Not sure I can take all this good news. I mean what's a liberal to do if he can't wallow in misery and bemoan the state of the nation and the Democratic Party? To make it worse, today AP reported that consumer prices are up 5.7% over last year, the highest rate in 39 years. But wait, wasn't the rate of inflation last month 6.9%? Does that mean that inflation is actually coming down? More good news?

Seriously, I finally watched Amy Jo Hutchison's statement. No matter how jaded a person is, despite her unpracticed delivery, she will cut through and get to you. That is the voice of the real America--not the fake trendy influencers, or the glitzy people who are famous for being famous, or the MAGA minions who only care about feeding their fear of the future, but Amy Jo Hutchison from West Virginia, just trying to hang on and raise her kids. Kudos to her, and let's all resolve to work harder for all who are like her.

And, if I don't get to post tomorrow, Merry Christmas to all!

Thank you Robert for consistently giving us great information like this. I’ve not seen anything so powerful. I have shared everywhere I can. Maybe we should all send this to Manchin as a reminder that he is ignoring his constituents and their needs.

If anyone has ideas for really amplifying Amy’s message (besides posting), please pass along.
