John Lewis is a sterling example of patience and persistence. Thank you for keeping our eyes trained on the long haul, the vote, and the People. DOJ is disappointing and so is Garland, but the US has survived weak branches of government before.

You are right, and have been, about Mr. Garland. He is proving himself a failure. And amiable, high-minded failure perhaps, but a failure. And kudos for noticing that the Justice Department--contrary to its usual, indeed almost universal, practice--is under-charging the seditionists, and that the courts have not dealt with them as they should be handled.

Kanefield's blog addresses this point. Autocrats implement policies that harm their constituents, then blame their enemies for creating or failing to correct the situation. Republicans want hospitals overflowing with Covid patients because they will blame Biden.
