I agree the Dems just need to get to work making sure every registered Dem votes. In Collier County Florida our Dem Election committee has challenged every Precinct Captain to match the performance of one of our PCs who got almost 100 percent of registered Dems in her precinct to vote in 2020. I'm using the VAN to set up a network of neighborhood groups between 1200 registered Dems and may expand that to Non Politically Affiliated voters. We won't turn Collier Blue but will help the narrow margin statewide to turn Florida Blue.
I think Biden is smart and wise in his tactic of defeating the GOP in 2022 by showing voting Republicans what the Democrats stand for. He rarely scraps with them, he offers solutions to the problems confronting all Americans, and he shows love and compassion for the troubles of ordinary people - as reflected in his polling. It's a tactic that has no proof to offer right now, but it is the one tactic that can result in a big victory in 2022, not because it is based on theatrics but because it is based on goodness.
It is our honor and privilege to travel the path you lay out for us, Mr. Hubbell. You are performing a phenomenal service for.... in excess of 42,000 readers?! As my husband is known to say, “Whoever woulda’ tho’t??”
I have heard from many readers this morning in my email saying that they were alarmed by the dire warnings. We cannot be complacent, but i don't think the right way to encourage people to defend democracy is to predict its demise.
Good letter! I've been thinking the same thing, that the liberal media's hysteria is not useful. I especially enjoyed this line, in the newsletter: Trump refused to read the one-page letter because it was “too long.” Secretly, I think that's one reason his followers adore him.
I agree Fully. My suggestion: To these Writers Who Will Write Anything To Get Published, why not write about 1/1/21 to present (a) NY Times front page column inches re Tucker Carlson etc vs NY Times front page column inches re Rachel Madow and (b) the probable reason for that and (c) the effect on the reading public because of that NY Times editorial decision. It seems to me that this is mainly a NY Times Editorial Issue. And even more unforgivable because the Times is doing OK financially and its readers, including myself, will pay whatever it takes for them to PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISM as it has in the past. Why has their main goal become What They Think Will Sell Newspapers. If the Times no longer wants to be professional, Will Someone Start A Newspaper Who Will? What do Journalism professors think?

Very well said.

"Predicting disaster is a cheap trick. If your prediction comes true, you are a genius. If it does not come to pass, no one remembers."
Yes! (One of the secrets to punditry is never to look back.)
Exactly! Same rule applies to psychics . . .
Well said Mr. Hubbell. Just what we all need right now to get to work

Thanks, Terry. I am never quite sure how my attempts at humor are received.
Hope, hard work and informed optimism works for me. Thank you, Robert...you inspire these qualities.
Thanks, Juanita!
