Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! Pseudoscience is at the very heart of our current malaise, starting with the Scopes trial, moving through The Bell Curve, and so on to Covid madness. Ivermectin insanity! Ahistorical “memories” of the origins of the Afghanistan debacle! Ignorance in all its many guises. . .Nowhere more manifest than in the overreach/complete derangement of the Supreme Court “directive” on Mexico. It’s been said by greater minds than mine, but education is the cornerstone of democracy.

"The vote moves the bill to the Senate, where it will run into the brick wall of Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema." There's a way to fight back. Stacey Abram's Fair Fight Action is asking voters to call their Senators daily and tell them that, as their constituents, they demand that they do whatever is necessary to carve out or kill the filibuster to insure passage of HR4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and S1, the For the People Act. Call 833-465-7142 to be connected to your Senator. All calls are tallied and they matter!

Couldn't agree more - education is and will be the cornerstone of democracy which is what worries me. We are increasingly a nation of the "uneducated and proud of it". From what I know, which is not much, in the past, many citizens were uneducated but sought out experts to help them understand and or learn what was factual or true. Alas, this is no longer the case.
