Representative Maloney was correct in the statement “ the world needed a hero” and Biden is very busy being a “ leader for peace”. The Democrats need to assemble their hero’s like Schiff and others to speak directly to voters. People like Stacy Abrams, Jamie Raskin and many others need to speak out and be “ message leaders “ for Democracy. We need to start now and form our own “ No Lie Zone” and show Americans how and why Putin Republicans are a threat to them and their freedoms. You never appreciate freedom until you lose it. We do t want to lose it.
Koch Brothers fund the dark money to stop Progressive legislators and work against voting rights. We need to follow the money and call out these American oligarchs who don’t believe in Americans’ unfettered right to vote. See brave new Films’ Koch Brothers Exposed
Thank you for your daily newsletters. It is the very first thing I read every morning. I am an active precinct chair in Harris County, Texas, and I am going to steal your line about voting like a Ukrainian! As you know Texas makes it really hard for people to vote so having something inspirational to say to people when phone banking and block walking will really help.
We are all presented with opportunities throughout our lives to make choices. Many of those are small affecting only ourselves, some are significant affecting others as well as ourselves. However, those chosen to lead may face momentous choices affecting entire populations of nations they lead or even if the world at large. Those momentous choices define those leaders for history. Some leaders will be judged favorably by history. Others are judged as failures. Either way it is the consequences of their choices that form those judgements both of their leadership and character.
I am only one vote on those judgements but here are a few I am prepared to cast now:
Zelensky - hero and with flags flying in his honor
Putin - world class villain and despot, mass murderer of civilians, including women and children, surely bound ultimately for the fire of hell
Biden and other leaders of the western alliance supporting Ukraine - passed the initial test but grade still incomplete
Trump - deep, deep failure, F—, also attempted to cheat on the test and failed even at that
Your newsletter today gives me strength in this tremendously difficult time. Your 1st paragraph, "the world needed a hero: Zelenskyy answered the call!! YES! 2nd paragraph "we live in an anxious time... with further description of the tragedy and heartbreak we are all living through -- spoke directly to my heavy heart. 3rd paragraph -- Zelenskyy's "powerful address to Congress" added to the strong support I felt yesterday at the standing ovation of ALL of the U.S.Congress --- together for once, standing for the thoughts of the leader the world needed.

Just a bit sickening to see Republican lawmakers stand up to applaud for Zelenskyy when you just know they’ll be back to their old, scurvy tricks today. If they weren’t by yesterday afternoon. Glad to hear about yesterday’s meeting with Adam Schiff (one of my heroes) and Sean Patrick Maloney. I couldn’t make it as work got in the way. But I’ve made a note to give more to the DCCC.
I am so grateful for this Newsletter. Finally a transparent, well-written, fact-driven source of news. Thank you so much. p.s. i do wish i could share it!
There are heroes everywhere. Not just Zelensky and Schiff, but everyday people all around us . (including the people here who look forward to your writing every day). Thanks, Robert, for reminding us that we can all be heroes, if just for one day, as Bowie said.
Robert, I could not sign up for the zoom call because I still don’t have access to the internet where I live. Did you happen to make a recording of it? I hate missing these things, but even my iPhone has sketch internet reception.
We heard Adam Schiff being interviewed by Pat Morrison last night. We were very impressed both by his answers to the questions but also by his demeanor. We are delighted by your information this morning about China’s support of Ukraine. Let’s hope they stay the course
After the Zoom, I watched Adam Schiff on the regular Wednesday night JUDJ (Jews United for Democracy and Justice) Zoom call. The viewership last night was 5,000! Amazing numbers and very encouraging. . .the number of concerned and involved citizens seeking Truth. We are "out there" and working, my friends. It's always encouraging to see that we are far from being alone.
A Happy St. Patrick's today to all - especially to DCCC Chair, Sean Patrick Maloney! Last night's Zoom was the first time I had heard him and I was very impressed - actually relieved by both his competence and energy and the positive numbers he gave us regarding our mid-term prospects. And thank you, Robert, for sharing those numbers with us today. You did a far better job of taking notes than I did! No challenge from me!

Koch Industries supporting Russia.

End Citizens United! China has spoken. Gerrymandering is dying a long death, as is the GOP and Putin.
Keep hope alive. Love your heroes. Promote democracy.

Choices -

Can't we demand sanctions against Koch Industries, or any other business still operating in Russia?

Is anyone else writing postcards to voter? I’d like to connect and see how you are doing and share what we are working on! Thank you!
Thank you, Robert. You are a hero too. Thank you for inspiring so many and giving us your intelligent hope. Thank you.
