Robert,

Others express our feelings so precisely that often it is best to simply “like” their comments. However, we did want to thank you for the word indefatigable. We have had great fun discovering the many ways to use this awesome word.

With gratitude,

Steve and Helene Schmitz

Robert, your celestial photos are so beautiful and thought-provoking! In appreciation, I’d like to share this song that my choir is going to perform in a Christmas concert:

Stars, by Kyle Pederson (2015)

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3gBmPZt8iY

From composer’s website:

“Stars was born out of a life-long fascination with the night sky, and the text is a meditation on the interconnectedness of creation.  … [M]any elements that comprise our bodies were cast out of stars millions upon millions of years ago.  Since we are the “stuff of stars,” where will we cast our own light?  Whose world will we impact?”

Lyrics:

Stars

Legacies of light
Ages ago you spun light into the bleak
Ancient light lands in tonight’s sky
Ancient light falls on my eye
And I?
A star
Sacred stellar dust casting light out through time
In whose sky will my light fall?

Please consider signing this petition to the gov't to give green cards to DACA recipients so that Trump cannot deport them. DACA recipients have never known another country, and they would truly be lost if deported.

I spent Thanksgiving at a large traditional family feast, where the star of the show was our newest and youngest member, my 11 -month -old granddaughter. Not one political word was spoken the whole afternoon. We are all thankfully on the same political wave length, though not in all other ways. It was such a relief and so much loving fun. We all need many more days like that.

Another awesome photo, Robert! Many, many thanks to you and Jill, for holding the ship together as we navigate through the Orange Tornado. I am so grateful for all your posts, for telling the truth, for educating me every day. Cheers and blessings.

The nebula photo is extraordinary! I don't know if it's the time of year or not but The Orion nebula in that photo looks like a turkey to me!! Hoping everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Terry, I wondered why no one else mentioned the turkey . It was the first thing I saw😂

In a certain way it reminds me of a turkey, small head with a wattle hanging down, and billowy feathery body.😄

From the background in your video yesterday it looked like you were having quite a spread. I hope you all ate too much—it’s the American way! This morning, we wetook our regular trip to Trader Joe’s, where we ran into Patrick, one of the staff, who is originally from Rwanda (I think). We haven’t seen him for a while, and he was able to give us the happy news that last week he got his green card—as he put it. “Before Trump.” Now he can visit family in Canada at Christmas, for the first time in five years. So, some good news.
