Thank you for your newsletter, Robert! I live in a county in California that is extremely conservative. When I walk through my neighborhood, flags, supporting the previous president fly boldly in yards, along with signs stating”Biden is not my President.” Your column is my oasis of of truth an hope every day! Thank you.
Thanks for continuing to track the fairy tales of the Republicans, but we need arguments based on law and true freedom to put in letters to the editor about the voter and protest suppression laws they are putting forth.
Hi, Charles. thanks for your note. i agree that writing letters to editors in publications (print and online) is an important tactic. I try to link to fact-based articles in my discussions, and I encourage you to check them out--both to keep me honest and to learn the facts in more detail. (I impose a 4-page limit on the newsletter for readability) There are several publications that are doing an outstanding job of tracking the legal arguments surrounding voter suppression--including Vox (Ian Milheiser), The Bulwark (Patterson and Sykes), Charles Pearce (who writes in Esquire), Lawfare, and the NYT and WaPo. Also, following Lawrence Tribe on Twitter is a good source of information. Hope this helps!
