I was afraid the AZ ex-AG story would go underreported, but it’s a top front page story in todays DALLAS MORNING NEWS! More of this.

Love Today's Edition today, Robert. Adore the photo! Dog sledding? In Alaska? I'm pea green with envy!

I read the Joyce Vance piece. She lays out the facts well. Brnovich is a con man who should be disbarred. A card carrying member of the Federalist mafia.

Enjoy the dogs!

Nothing compares to the enthusiasm of a dog team leaping into their harnesses before they are released and the instant transformation into a silent magical unit speeding along the trail❤️. Hike! Gee! Haw! Bliss!

The Cochrane reviews were named after my grandfather’s cousin, Archibald Cochrane. He was a pioneer in evidence-based medicine, and I am appalled that they published such a low quality meta analysis.

During my time working in Denali back in the early 2000’s for a summer, one of the things I did in my spare time was to walk a sled dog. Or rather she “walked” me! Sled dogs are always chained up because of their devoted love of running. You would never see your dog again otherwise. Anyway, during the summer, when there is no snow for them to pull a sled, they need to be exercised. So my sweet charge would quickly pull me up the hill from the sled dog camp and along the road for as long as I could take it before taking her back to her home and giving her a good brush. One of my great joys, when I returned to Denali 2 yrs later to visit friends I had made, was the fact that she instantly recognized me from over 100 yards away when I went to visit her. Such highly intelligent animals with a deep passion for running. It was a joy to have her be my buddy for the summer.

Awesome pic ! It’s almost as if we’re riding along with you and Jill.😎

Bret Stephens( sigh) 2/21 NYT OpEd was titled : Mask Mandates Did Nothing. Will Any Lessons Be Learned?

Authors’ conclusions from the Cochrane analysis that Stephens cited :

“The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions.”

Apparently Stephen’s bias is causing him to draw his own “firm conclusions”.

For what’s worth, I did write to NYT.

We are all spoiled when it comes to prosecuting crimes because in our favorite crime shows a crime is committed and justice prevails all within 60 minutes. It feels like the wheels of Justice are slowly moving forward and the recent federal subpoenas are encouraging to say the least. A friend of mine told me that the recent subpoenas of Pence, Meadows and Jared and Ivanka are critical because the DOJ has lots of data from previous and past Interviews as a basis to question these folks and get to the truth. They can’t hide behind the fifth amendment and the feedback to Trump about the questions being asked should send a message to him that he is in deep deep trouble. It may take some time to clear the executive privilege hurdles but more than ever I am convinced Justice will prevail.

From Denialad: donbialostosky.substack.com

AZ’s former AG found his lodestar

In former US AG William Barr,

Whose bold partisan misrepresentations

Of inconvenient truths by expurgation

Set a standard difficult to match.

But Brnovich attempted to outmatch

His model’s mauling the Mueller report

With his repeated efforts to distort

And bury his own staff’s investigation

That found no fraud or voting aberrations

In Maricopa County, where results

Had been subjected to right-wing insults

And barrages of wild speculation

And unfair, unwarranted castigation.

‘Cause Brnovich was trying to appease

Primary voters whom truth would displease,

He vaguely covered the truth with the ruse

Of “problematic systemwide issues”

And didn’t issue the complete report

That would have contradicted his purport.

AZ, a hotbed of false fraud assertions,

Was further misinformed by his exertions.

Robert,

We lived in Alaska for 3 1/2 years in the early 70’s. We loved it! However, if and when we go back it won’t be in Winter. You are a brave man!

Glad you are enjoying it. You deserve it.

Safe travels today, Robert and Jill.

As tiresome and laborious as it is accuratelyto keep telling the story of Republican duplicity and occasional treacherousness, it is critically important that it be done. I very much appreciate your doing so on a regular schedule.

Wow. The dog sled ride needs a FULL report with pictures. Just terrific.

PS Will read Vance shortly but am going to visualize the sled and the dogs and the whishing through the stunning and cold countryside first.

Another great picture. Maybe the weekend extra should be a compilation of the photos you've taken.

Politico is reporting this morning that the comments from the GA Grand Jury foreperson have potentially jeopardized Ms. Willis' ability to prosecute. Sounds and reads like clickbait for a slow news day to me but, not being an attorney, I'd like to hear from someone with more background.

1) How lucky you are to mush with all those beautiful dogs.

2) If you really want to know how the catastrophic train wreck happened first find out how much the RR spend on lobbying Congress and state governments. How much PAC money and political money did the RR spend and who got it and what committees did they serve on. It usually cheaper in the short term to diddle the regs, but in the long run it costs the whole country and the RR a lot of money. Same for coal mines, etc.
