“Despite Kennedy’s flawed and dangerous thinking, he currently garners 15% support in polling for the Democratic nomination for 2024.”

Step away from the poll results.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

There are lies, damned lies, statistics, and then there are polls.

(With apologies to Samuel Clemens).

Biden is the president we all say we want, just a bit older than we would like.

So suck it up Buttercup and let’s get out the blue vote.

Joe Biden is easily the most experienced, empathetic, moral, and effective President I’ve experienced in my 70 year lifetime. His ability to reach consensus has given us fabulous stability during and since Covid. His team of younger advisors are pure gold. No wonder the likes of Jim Jordan, Josh Hawley and now RFK Jr take shots at him. Their fragile egos can’t abide the great success that modest Biden has garnered. So they make up stories, lots of them, with no regard to how destructive to our country and the world those stories are. We all have the power to silence those stories if we VOTE them into oblivion. We can and we will. Once again, IGNORE the media and polls. They have been dead wrong for so long.

I SO agree with your every word, Diane!! We must ignore as much as possible, and keep calling them out as much as we can stand!!

I was born during the Roosevelt years and I second every word of yours. Only LBJ rivals Biden as a manager of the Congress. But Biden is the best at governing.

To a fellow early Eisenhower, probably conceived in Truman baby, you stated all this very eloquently! Your last name is appropriate. I second everything you've said so eloquently here!

Only Hillary would have come close.

RFK Jr is not the first anti-Semitic Kennedy. That honor goes to the patriarch Joe Kennedy Sr. When he became US Ambassador to the UK, he found a compatible community of British anti-Semites who were fond of Adolph Hitler.

That's for sure. Charles Lindberg & Henry Ford sure thought along similar lines as well. It's unbelievable how in America almost 80 years after the fall of the Third Reich, certain very vocal politicians like MTG can pursue and vocalize anti-semitic adjacent tripe.

Wow! I had no idea!

The wrong RFK is still with us.

That's for sure!

I remember the 1960s.

It seemed all of the "good people" were being shot and killed.

Yeah, it's never the ones for whom your reaction would be "good riddance," like Nixon or Trump.

Yes. And he is creepy.

Hardly...RFK Jr. certainly isn't with me!

This Ashkenazi Jewish woman says RFK, Jr. is a replica of his grandad, Joseph. Both dislike (d) Jews and the Chinese. Junior is the black sheep of that family. Poor Ethel, she didn’t realize her grandson would turn out to be such a schmuck.

On the subject of the swing set... BRAVO! You did it! “Build it and they will come.” And they did! That will be a great memory for them.

Going to the Hubbel lab with a bunch of great friends is awesome! Have a blast!

From one Ashkenazi to another: oops! RFK jr is Ethel's son, not grandson, which I'm sure you know.

Oops is right!! Wrote that while I was drifting in and out of sleep. 🤪

Robert I have decided you are a renaissance man if there ever was one. The renting of a super telescope to view the galaxy and the labor of love building a swing set for your grandchildren while debunking conspiracy theories is proof positive. Both JFK and RFK were childhood hero’s of mine and they got me interested in politics and I will never forget the discussions I had with my father on the subject if a Catholic could be elected President. RFK Jr is tarnishing the Kennedy legacy and name and is rhetoric is harmful to the health of many Americans who don’t know better.

Yes, wasn’t that the hype then!?!! That’s like people saying that there would never be a black president.

Wish I knew what you are talking about re ethnic bioweapons, genetics and all, Robert. Alas, this ordinary American is stuck on Joe Biden and his "crazy" idea that democracy is where it's at...and swing sets!

The news media are giving to the conspiracy theorist candidate with well- known name the same thing they gave the last president (who was a ridiculous candidate): credibility through coverage.

Which makes me really upset. Why aren't the Democrats calling them out by blasting the airwaves with attacks on those lies and fabrications?

Your comments on anti-Semitism remind me of the story of the Jew in Germany in the '30s (that was before Hitler started killing Jews just to do it) whose friends found him reading die Sturmer, the most notorious of the Nazi anti-Semitic rags. When they expressed their astonishment. he explained, "When I read the Jewish press I see that we are not permitted to do this, that we cannot go there, that we must behave in a certain way. But in die Sturmer I learn that we control the world, that we are all rich bankers, and that no one dares to challenge us." (For those of you who may not know many, or any, Jews, that is a very Jewish story.) Seriously, Robert, you are entirely right. RFK Jr. is a useful idiot for the Right and should not get any air. Indeed, he should be put in a place where he can do no harm to himself or others.

And finally, Robert, you clearly have a second (or is it a third?) career ahead of you.

I thought the newsletter was very informative, sobering and excellent today, as usual. But I'm going off topic just to say, in case anyone would like it and didn't see this before, the Climate Action Now app (that I learned about from Jessica Craven in a comment in this newsletter) truly is, in her words, outstanding. I and the others I have recommended it to are very happy to have it. You can literally, in just a few minutes, send pre-written emails to various kinds of recipients, all designed to address certain aspects of combatting climate change. You can choose actions, skip actions, and stop whenever you like.

I love that you don't hold back on telling it like it is, especially regarding crackpots like RFKJr.

However, there seems to be a majority of people in this nation who are saying "hold my beer" when it comes to ignoring facts and latching onto the most recent conspiracy theories and shiny objects.

(What I wouldn't give to take "FAUX NOOS ANGERTAINMENT" off of the air COMPLETELY;

even more to erase its decades of disinformation and propaganda that may have doomed this experiment in democracy Ben Franklin warned we might not be able to keep.)

And let's start by asking that FOX News not be the default station on TVs around the world on our military bases

Direct TV is all we can get at our rural farm here in North Alabama. They dropped CBS (the last TV network I trusted)...but FOX is still strong and is the piped news outlet on local radio. 😡

Years ago, my mother had knee replacement surgery.

The waiting room TVs were basically ALL tuned to FOX.

Even then, I could not stomach the broadcasts. LITERALLY - having it on induced an adverse physical reaction, it raised my stress and gave me a visceral distress response.

I believe a major sports event, possibly the Olympics, was occurring - I asked the waiting room volunteer to change at least ONE television screen to sports instead.

Just as hospitals have become smoke-free zones, they should become Fox-free zones for the health and well-being of patients, staff and visitors.

Dear Robert,

You mention angry emails every so often so I thought I'd send a happy, grateful email. I was initially intrigued with RFKrackpot but it didn't take long to realize he should not be a leader for anyone. But your article is so clearly written and you do go briefly down a rabbit hole - for ME!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I am amazed at how much and how well you write almost every night. Thanks for all your energy and talent. As for your grandfathering, looks like you have that in the bag!! Enjoy the night sky and those little lovies.

Sincerely, Debbie

I read a couple substantial biographies of RFK (senior). He was a kind of a sh*t when he was younger, but grew into a warm, compelling, and genuinely moral leader. It is painful to see his son dissolve into a kind of amoral madness.

Just read this from Joyce Vance and decided to share it. “ we can always envision more that we can do, more people who can be folded into the promise. We live in a time when there are people who want to limit who gets included and advocate for a narrowing vision of America. I have no intention of letting them get away with it. So, friends, let’s get ready for what’s ahead.“

I try to correct anyone who claims Bill Gates is doing horrible things. Years ago when the first PC's were being introduced I had a business meeting with Bill Gates negotiating a deal to use the Microsoft O/S on our PC hardware. The deal took only a few minutes to agree upon and so I spent the next couple of hours debating with Bill the merits of hardware vs. software. Yes, computers are just hot rocks without the software but the software needs robust hardware to achieve the speeds necessary to make the software useful. We were two nerds having a good time with the debate! I'd say the debate ended in a draw. Bill's parents were tremendous philanthropists and Bill has been very philanthropic as well. For me, Bill Gates is a good person and I'm sorry so many people are vilifying him and making him part of their conspiracies and lies. We, the People, all of us this time!
