Speaking of the celestial and accomplishments in the face of racism and misogyny, it was nice to see the “Hidden Figures” women receive the Congressional Gold Medal: Christine Darden and posthumously, Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson, and Dorothy Vaughan.
Speaking of the celestial and accomplishments in the face of racism and misogyny, it was nice to see the “Hidden Figures” women receive the Congressional Gold Medal: Christine Darden and posthumously, Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson, and Dorothy Vaughan.
More generally, our federal government has been full of “hidden figures”. WaPo has recently taken it upon itself to publish articles about some of the living “hidden figures”.
There have been so many more – e.g.:
• Several govvies who won Nobel Prizes.
• Every time someone uses a scanner, they’re using an invention of a government employee.
• Same for the basis of the computer disk drive (its inventor, Jacob Rabinow, held more than 250 patents).

It is more than past time that they were honored.
I loved that movie. Besides being a math nerd, it really hit home for how much those women had to overcome to get to where they did.
