As I have said, each person has to figure out what their plan is.

I am guessing you are a White-male. I am neither. So, I have a different take on where I feel safe. One side of my family came over on slave ships, and what they did to build the US was not accorded to them in wealth. The other side of my family immigrated. So, I have always felt like a citizen of a world, and am not so into nationalism.

I do not want my daughter living with the amount of violence in the US. The inability of the US to get guns under control seemed pretty hopeless to me. Right now the US is #132 in the global peace scale. I am in a country which is at #20. It dropped down 5 spots this year, but the US dropped 1 as well, and 3 in the past 2 years to reach a much less safe level. Many people want their children in a safer country. I am sure you can understand that.
