Mr. Emmer is the Republican Whip. That means it's his job to know how every member will vote on every issue, every time. As part of Kevin McCarthy's leadership team he, like Steve Scalise, would not have the votes of MAGA members who just removed the Speaker. Knowing that he could not win, he dropped out rather than be humiliated by a loss.
If Tom Emmers is too afraid to do what is right for the American people because of ANY REASON he should resign Congress today. And the same thing goes for any of them of any party. America is the "Land of the free" ONLY when its also the "home of the brave". Are all Republicans Trumpites or are they just cowards?

I agree Swbv. It all happened too fast with Emmer which makes it VERY suspicious. These people will stop at nothing to get their way.
