Just attended the Stand Up For Justice presentation and it was excellent. I look forward to the next in the monthly series. Thank you for bringing this resource to our attention.

Robert, I took a few days off for stress reduction, then discovered I had no internet when I came back this week. Back online, and one of the first things I read is this column. Thanks so much for it. This is what I need to hear right now, and maybe for the rest of my life. You hit on all the points that concern me right now, or most anyway, and both validated them and reassured me that we are on the path back.

Regarding your comment: "In any other administration with any other Congress, the president would be subject to an impeachment investigation, if not conviction and removal." Though it was buried in the description of the very reasons this should be taking place but isn't, the simple act of saying it out loud makes it stand out. We need to hear that, and to keep repeating it, so we don't forget that THIS IS NOT NORMAL, and that we can aspire to reclaim and rebuild a healthy society with a functional government.

I am committed to the long haul, and am starting to get a feeling it might not be as long as I thought. Each demonstration reinforces my faith in the people who are in this with us, as the numbers grow, and the voices increase. Every time still another judge issues a judgement that supports the Constitution also validates our voices and all the many things we do as organizations, groups, or individuals to resist Trump & Co's illegal and unconstitutional actions. The little glimmer of hope I've been hanging onto seems to be growing into a kind of beacon. 3 years,, five months, and a few days seems interminable, but maybe it won't take that long after all. But if it does, then I'm hanging on for the ride, and hope to see Trump slink out the back door of the White House, along with his dreary crew.

It is maddening that it is taking so long for the Supreme Court to strep up and deliver a clear message to the President on behalf of the American people. Even the US Senate (which is reputed to be the most deliberative part of the Government) acts faster. Am I wrong in hoping that the court will in fact step up to the plate and deliver a grand slam?

Thanks, Robert, for your unfailing optimism and guidance...I share it, and feel that every single illegal boondoggle with which Rump "floods the zone" is one more nail in his and maga and billionaire coffins. Would you please address the attacks on independent journalists (Aaron Parnas, Meidas Touch, Mark Elias, etc.) They are brave, broadcasting the behavior, and persistent. Is there some legal remedy/class action opportunity here?

thrilled that you are having our NC AG Jeff Jackson on the panel tomorrow - He is beyond awesome and won statewide in a state that is becoming redder by the day due to horrific gerrymandering. He fights for us everyday. He was our US Congressman until the Rs gerrymandered his district so horrifically. therefore he ran for AG. Yeah Jeff!

My coffee and you start my day. Thank you for your direct and generally positive approach. I am a composer and musician. I will give a concert tonight because life must go on, venues and cities must go on, and life is sad without art. Thank you Mr. Hubbell.

I have read that one of the poison pills in the Big Bamboozle Budget Act is repeal of the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 and authorization to impound funds freely. Does anyone know if this is the case?

“Like everything else he touches, Trump is causing portions of the federal government to wither and die through his ineptitude.” —

You’re being unnecessarily kind, in my opinion. Trump, his minions, and fellow travelers *intend* to destroy much of our government. Like Project 2025, it’s *an integral part of their program as a budding dictatorship*.

I haven't even finished reading this column, but had to stop to say this. The voters who stayed home in the past general election might be tired of having their votes being gerrymandered to reflect the win for a candidate they didn't vote for. It's time to get rid of the Electoral College and make this a true Democracy.

Just another example of the Trump team's outrageous BS. Here we have Kristi Noem interfering in Polish elections. Let's hope Poland goes the way Canada and others did in these challenging times.

"It's the corruption, people."

Let's call our DC people and tell them that!

A bumper sticker would be great, too!
