Use caution attending protests on Wednesday

Dear readers,

I am sending an update to the Wednesday edition of the newsletter. In the regular newsletter, I mentioned a series of protest marches at all fifty state capitol buildings sponsored by a group called 50501.

Several readers and other commentators have issued cautions about attending marches organized under that group’s sponsorship, suggesting that the marches are not well organized, may not have permits, and may be infiltrated by right-wing agitators.

So, please use caution in attending events under the sponsorship of 50501.

I usually do not promote events unless an organizer contacts me and I can verify the information on a website. In today’s newsletter, I repeated information published in a newspaper but that was not otherwise verifiable. Lesson learned. I will be more cautious and exacting in promoting events in the future! Thanks for your understanding!
