I was very happy to be able to follow your explanation of "Superposition," Robert, as I'm not much of a "science girl." And then I was thrilled to see that physicist Dr. Phillips affirmed and praised your effort!

Now, can someone please explain to mean, nasty and hateful Donald Trump how decent public figures respond to the death of someone as honorable as Robert Mueller?

I feel it would take a neuroscientist, psychiatrist, possibly a theologian to explain it. My feeling is that such people for some reason lack a fully developed empathetic center in the brain. They do not have a "conscience." So the same situations that would cause us to feel empathetic pain, distress, shame, guilt don't occur...I believe my thinking was influenced by "Buddha's Brain" (Hanson). What is the real sad part about this to (along with the potential to create pain in others...) is that if you lack the ability to feel for others, you likely don't feel for yourself and feel...deep love...That's a tragedy.

You did a great job of explaining the goings on inside this pitiful man, Allie. We thank you. I think I could actually feel some compassion for him . . if her were not so dangerous. This is HUGE . . . and more leaders and all his faithful supporters need to acknowledge the danger he presents. . . and remove it. For the good of all.

And to lower the 50% increase in oil prices he's weakening the ban on Russian and Iranian oil sales which will give Russia more cash to fight Ukraine and Iran more cash to fight the U.S. (not to mention his ongoing war against wind and solar energy!). He's got himself "waist deep in the big muddy"

See where Robert Mueller died. Trump just posted “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

What a piece of filth!

It's not difficult to see who is "winning" the war. Ever since the Strait was closed, the Gulf States have been beholden to Iran for their very existence. Thus, Iran gained tremendous leverage over the world economy and, therefore, tremendous leverage to end the war on its terms. The Iranian regime will never give up this leverage because it guarantees (1) its existence and (2) that the 80% of Iranians who detest the regime will remain under its power. The regime should thank Bone Spurs and his Israeli sidekick. So much for the art of the deal.

I have drafted a letter urging people I know to attend "No Kings" on 3-28, with a link to renowned historian and author Timothy Snyder's substack this morning titled "No Kings, Freedom!" He lays out better than I can why it's necessary, important and effective for everyone to protest. I'm sending it to as many people as I can over the next week. Health limitations don't allow me to attend in person, but contacting others, even a few others, is something almost everyone can do.

I have seen it said that, “if his lips move he is lying.” Perhaps, per Robert’s post today it should be “if his lips move expect and prepare for but take nothing for granted.”

Congress was not intended to be a rubber stamp for the same party president.

Hi Robert,

Re: quantum superposition -- how about: "To be or not to be, that is the question. "

P.S. I love your posts and your newsletter. Keep up the good work!

Only stating the obvious, but clearly, we're dealing with someone who thinks his deeply embedded business practices (say one thing, do another) can apply to governing the country . . . that no one will notice. Please keep noticing, Robert - and all.

Another great Robert post. My take: It's great the way he lays out all the inconsistencies from the WH about the war. Incredible..we all would fail any exam with those statements. The costs are astronomical in blood and treasure and you know with him sending marines over there in assault ships that the inexorable forces that make him think he has to look like a tough guy and a winner, will cause him to put boots on the ground because he is a numb skull and hates the morass he finds himself in that he created without thinking through what he was doing. We know that Iran lives there like the Vietnamese lived in Vietnam, and the Afghans and the Iraqis lived in their countries. You can win battles but they just have to wait it out and win the war. It makes sense for Iraq to seize the Straits. Also, once again he has helped Russia because he is Putin puppet. Of course, Hegseth wants to control press coverage of his mishandling of the Pentagon and CBS is going straight to a state media platform. Standard autocracy power moves. Thank goodness for substacks and other ways to get the news but it is sad that this is what is going on and when you consider they are allowing 80% of all local stations to be owned by one company violating the longstanding 39% rule, a lot of people will be getting propaganda from those stations.

Enjoy your weekend under the stars Robert and Jill. You deserve a break from the madness known as this bogus administration.

My hope remains that the wise people of PA will gather signatures to recall Fetterman. He is the poster child for a man who has failed his constituents, his state and, most of all, his country. He is not the person we worked so hard to help get elected. It should be illegal to change parties once elected. Yes, I know, he hasn't officially changed parties. But he has let us know by his votes that he is NOT a Democrat.

I was so excited about him when I read about his candidacy and about his family etc. I'm pretty convinced that his turnabout is an offshoot of the other cognitive and emotional problems from his stroke ... it's just such a complete change and that's actually typical for major strokes like he had. Doesn't change that he needs to be replaced, of course.
