My wife and I are long time donors to SPLC and expected that our donations would be used in any way possible to expose and destroy the organizations that promote hatred and bigotry to Americans. I would never be acceptable to a jury judging Trump's guilt as a mass murderer. Based on convincing evidence of the results of his direct actions, I can't see any reason that a charge could be reduced to 2nd degree murder or manslaughter. His actions are direct and based on retribution because he doesn't like a person or organization or country or whatever happens to cross his alleged brain any moment. Truly vindictive with all the worst of human traits down to being tacky.
There has to be some way to curb this childish insanity emanating from Felon47 and his enablers. It absolutely infuriates me that WE THE PEOPLE are footing the bills for ALL this incredibly stupid and often illegal BS. War based on the "feelings" of a demented narcissistic convicted felon, spurious complaints against a valued civil rights organization, demolishing life saving aid to other countries, removal of health care for millions - and that's just a start to the list of despicable things emanating from the current administration. These things are all outside usual purview of a normally functioning government, which obviously we do not have right now.
What's striking over this year+ of the Trump admin is the pattern of DEPLETION.
Among many "depletions," DOGE depleted critical services.
Congress's Big Beautiful Bill depleted health care for millions.
And now- this admin can't even use our weapons stockpile judiciously.
These guys are just plain reckless, impulsive, and dopamine-driven with teenage brains (no insult to teens who are appropriately dealing with lots of brain changes).

And Happy Earth Day, everyone! At the first Earth Day in the 1970’s over 20,000 Americans protested, 10% of the country’s population at that time, I believe. It brought about phenomenal positive changes for the environment. In the midst of all the current assaults to our people and our beautiful country, we cannot forget the assaults this regime is making to our planet, our waters, our forests. We have to continue to fight to preserve this planet, the only home we have.
Here's my two-cents for today: we have a criminally insane mass murderer as president, a danger to the entire globe, and there is no impeachment, no indictment, no accountability, and our Chief Justice has concocted almost complete immunity for him -- in effect, crowning him king. (At least, in the eyes of the law.)
There is a heck of a lot of complicity going around (like an infectious disease), but the immune system of this country is strengthening, adapting, and fighting back. We are the white blood cells, if you will, the antibodies, the phagocytes and T-cells: as we engage with the pathogens (Trump and his enablers), we are learning and multiplying and growing in power.
Trumpism is a sickness that has infected America, and we, the "cells" are fighting back. As with any illness, there is often a crisis, and then a (hopefully) rapid healing and return to health. And with it, a new appreciation of what it means to be healthy, and a profound gratitude.
