I’m retired and it’s challenging to decide who to donate money to. I will not go through Act Blue anymore because they messed up and donation and wouldn’t acknowledge it until I closed my account. I am only donating if I can do it by mail, but very few people running have donate by mail addresses on their website websites and calling their offices is not very productive. I’ve had luck with two or three people who are used to support but not the others so I’ve switched to supporting organizations who promote certain candidates. I think it’s easier to send a check every month or two instead of a monthly small donation if you have any other ideas about good organizations, I will be looking for them.
I’d like to see comrade Krasnov forced to remove his name from the Kennedy Center using only his bare hands, no matter how long that might take. Hoist him up to where it is, and let him start scratching. He already wears diapers, so no need to let him down for bathroom breaks.
A good post and a classic Robert explanation of decisions that Batsby lost and democracy won. Not a surprise that Bondi would accuse Blanche and Patel to take the heat off herself. So good to get Batsby's name off the Kennedy Center. Maybe we will be able to stop the Thug fund but as Robert points out in" Concluding Thoughts", there is so much other corruption that needs to be addressed like mass deportation, the ballroom, Iran, etc. Great Protest Pics.
Our job is also to make sure the midterms aren’t hacked to electronically manufacture the all-MAGA Congress that comrade Krasnov so badly wants, and that will finish us off. His threats to send ICE to the polls are, at least in part, distraction. It’s ever so much cheaper, quicker, easier, and less messy to simply tweak the algorithm a little. Krasnov and Musk have both publicly stated that this is easily done.
Remember how we were all worked up over whether Krasov would challenge the likely Harris victory in 2024? Yeah, well, while we were all wetting ourselves over that possibility, he just walked in and straight up stole the election himself. Why should 2026 be any different?
Are there any organizations working on building the cybersecurity necessary to prevent the manufacture of an all-MAGA Congress? Please let us know so we can support them. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for all the great pictures Robert, there's no doubt that the opposition is swelling. But I wouldn't say that the juggernaut has been derailed, more like two or three of its 50 plus wheels were taken off. It will take a lot more before the corruption stops.
Germany has a voter participation of around 70 to 75% in federal elections and this without compulsory voting. The hot phase of the elections campaigns usually doesn't last more than 4 or 5 weeks. There are no time limits bur rather financial constraints as elections can't be bought. A whole federal parliamentary campaign costs just a bit more than the Texas primary between Cornyn and Paxton. The nicest thing: no robocalls.
While I appreciate the sentiment, I think our country is too Libertarian to accept compulsory voting. This is an issue that I think would actually bring together some strange political bedfellows.
And do we really want to "force" people to vote when they really don't want to? I am as distressed as anyone about our low percentage of voters, but is arresting or fining people for not voting really going to make a more informed and engaged electorate? I am sure there are studies of this experience elsewhere, and in time I'll check them out. Right now, I think we need to get those people who say they are angry with Trump or disillusioned with do-nothing Republicans to get to the polls. We don't make an engaged electorate by requiring voting, an engaged electorate may make requiring voting a good idea.
We don't make an educated citizenry by giving everyone college degrees.

Robert, the $300B rebuilding fund was news to me...add that to the other 12 or 25 or whatever billion Trump's suggested and you have well over $300B, which is almost $1,000 per person...for a war we didn't want that rewarded the other side.

Regarding messaging. Listen carefully to James Talarico and how he frames his messages. This is how Dems need to do it! One simple opening and then a very clear reference. Easy to grasp and remember. The best of all I have heard.

In response, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin is now threatening to pull Customs and Border Protection officers from airports in sanctuary cities, which could halt international flights to them. As even Fox News is pointing out, this would cause massive disruptions. Indeed, it would likely deal another big blow to GOP midterm chances. Yet the whole saga captures how Trump governance seeks to deliberately stoke searing tensions between MAGA and blue America. We talked to Nayna Gupta, policy director for the American Immigration Council, which just released a blueprint for a saner system. We discuss the worsening situation in Newark, why Mullin’s threat is simultaneously deranged and comical, and how the fascist advisers around Trump see violent conflict between MAGA and blue America as a good and desirable outcome.
