Robert, watched you live this morning after a stuttery start, then rally with family, so just now saying thank you once again. Intense week, my mind is fried, but not my grit. I found myself getting back on path after your very thoughtful straight on talk. I am a natural optimist, but lately feeling overwhelmed and bummed out. Family times helped, and then some time just being. Coming back on for the comments and all those wonderful photos of folks out in all kinds of weather, together in hope and ripe with resistance. A good end to my day.
Wanted to share these funnies from the Guardian Australia with you all. Hope the link works.
Robert - You continue to stabilize me with your truths, wisdom, honesty, encouragement and humor (I particularly enjoyed "Trump and his boy blunder" today). I also love the pictures - we the people are doing it and I could not be prouder of my fellow Americans. Thanks to you and us.
Thank you, Robert from me and ISJ's Freeway Overpass Brigade (FOB) for your very thoughtful and kind words in Concluding Thoughts. I chocked up the first time I read your message as it was so validating and meaningful for me.
Last month, we celebrated our one-year anniversary on the pedestrian bridge(s), as we rotate where are twice a week. Our group has grown from three on the bridge to a high of 39 a few weeks ago. People started bringing snacks to share, a few brought music - yes, we danced on the overpass - and the camaraderie is heartwarming and encouraging. Our FOB folks love seeing our photos in Today's Edition and we have had visitors who found and joined us when they were in the area.
Today, at our monthly membership meeting I read your message, as not everyone is on our Slack, to a round of applause. We are part of the Visibility Brigade and I marvel at those brave souls and patriots who are out there in the snow and freezing temperatures sharing messages of resistance.
What I took away from this past year and from the Protest Photos I look forward to seeing in Today's Edition, is that we are all connected in our fight to save our democracy.
Please attend a NoKings III on March 28 if you are able to do so and help send a strong message to this administration that we will not be silenced, we will not bend a knee and we will not give up our resistance to fascism. We are Stronger Together!
While I would agree that the photos of protesters provide an enormous lift, I would say that your words, Robert, are the catalyst for all of us to continue in this fight. It takes a profound resource of optimism and perhaps spiritual belief to do what you do. While we can support you--and it is critical that we do--most of us could never replace your knowledge, perseverance, and caring.
The protest pictures are also a highlight for me. I love the one from today with the Bible verse. I wonder what the so-called MAGA Christians would think of this?
I just listened to the LiveStream and loved it. Re the war, I will say that it isn't a surprise at all that Trump started a war because it was clear he needed one, once his polling started dropping. I of course didn't know which war, but a war by Trump was inevitable. This is a Greek-level tragedy in how many lives are being lost or irreparably damaged due to one man-child's ego. If Hillary and Kamala were presidents instead of Trump, just imagine the maturity, the thoughtfulness, the respect for the rule of law.
Remember the woman who sent everyone on her email list an invitation to NO KINGS? I did my own version of that two days ago and reconnected with some people I haven't seen since my teenage years. Even a fellow who I hadn't known very well, who told me how important I'd been to his growth! Very satisfying! You never know what one small action will produce, both personally and in the larger world.
Also, humor is appreciated, even in the midst of calamity: Hegseth, boy blunder!
I sent an invitation to the No Kings rally for March 28th to everyone on my contact list. I also did it for the last No Kings protest. With that invitation I added that I was proud to be on the right side of History. On that contact list were my Iowa classmates from 55 years ago. I didn't get many responses but it made me feel good that at least they knew where I stood.
Since I can’t seem to comment on the recording of the Sat live stream I will make my comment hear to your immunity remarks during the live stream:
U.S. Constitution
Article III
Sec 3
“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”
According to The Constitution Trump is a traitor. He is committing treason by his overt acts giving aid and comfort to the enemy, by helping Russia with sanctions and other benefits. He’s allowing them to give intelligence on U.S. troop movements and military asset location to Iran. So, what, impeachment? Each time impeachment was used the violation was of a lessor degree. Treason is a totally different thing, it goes way beyond high crimes or misdemeanors. Treason is a Capitol crime punishable by death. What we as a nation lack in this moment is the shear will to craft the strategic means by which to deploy the necessary tools to carry out the arrest, charging and trial. And before anyone mentions the phony immunity issue, crafted out of whole cloth by John Roberts, Treason is by far not part of any reaches of the duties of a president. Which his so called immunity is attached.
Thank you, Robert. Your decent and rational talk this morning really helped me not only feel better but also understand more clearly. We can, we must make a meaningful difference. Your example of doing precisely that is truly inspirational... Thanks, again, Steve
We have a madman at the helm, and the Congressional Republicans stand fear-stricken or power-hungry while our country is destroyed. We need just few that can still summon a modicum of bravery to act now. Declare your independence and just caucus with the Democrats before all is lost. The country so desperately needs to end this tragic episode. Be that leader you aspired to be when you assumed office.

I sometimes have trouble getting in to substack live streams. Sometimes it just pops up, but this morning it didn't until I refreshed the page. Also had some drop-outs on his and other live feeds today, because we had a surprise solar storm. We had a lot last year, but so far this year has been fairly quiet, but it's starting up again. Often solar storms and flares interfere with communication transmissions. Something to keep in mind. There are other things that cause problems, and I believe there is a link to technical help. Somewhere. I hope.
It's wonderful to see the protesters and their creativity. One of them--in case anyone missed it!--had a picture of 5 year old Liam Ramos of Minnesota in his bunny hat, who was sent to an ICE prison in Texas with his father before a Judge ordered them returned home to Minneapolis.
While the US has a military advantage, Iran holds the strategic wild card, the Strait of Hormuz. That is why no previous administration went to war against Iran. Just look at the map.
I just watched the film “Sinners” last night. This morning the question popped up: “Might Trump be likened to a vampire who sucks the blood of courage for truth, justice, and compassion from those he lures into his orbit?”

Can someone explain why I can be a paid subscriber, but I can’t see Robert’s live stream live. Have I somehow created to separate subscriptions?

Thanks, Robert, for providing us with accurate information and a balanced view. The photos are, indeed, inspiring to so many of us!
Nice to see you featuring Ohio politics because it may be turning.
