Hi, Robert! Thank you for marching along with the rest of us and giving us courage and strength to "get to the other side." Several weeks ago I wrote a comment to you, and because I think I heard you say that you read the comments, I assumed you would see it and perhaps respond. I wrote about Dr. Bandy Lee, the forensic psychiatrist who, starting in 2017, tried to warn the public about The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. That book, co-edited with 27 other mental health experts, was reported in the NYT, and had popularity for some months. Since then Dr. Lee and more mental health experts have held several national conferences, published more books and most recently have written The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. They point out what many of us can see, that this man is deeply disturbed, but they explain by pointing to his behaviors and speaking as mental health experts, so that more of us can understand. The hope is that if enough of us truly "get" the picture, pressure could be brought to bear on our politicians, well, particularly the congressional Republicans, and there would be action taken to remove Trump from office, or at least have him evaluated. The main reason that I am writing you is that I am hoping you might invite Dr. Lee to be on a segment with you where your readers could become acquainted with her and her expertise, and we could further spread the word about her. Thom Hartmann had her on his show last week. Ian Masters has had her on a few times. We just need to help her, and her knowledge, be more accessible in the mainstream. One of her statements is: Fascism is mental health pathology in politics. I.e., it is not an ideology in and of itself. As Dr. Lee has often pointed out, what we are in right now is a crisis that is a Mental Health Crisis, and yet the mental health experts are rarely called up to help address it. Is there any possibility that what I am conveying strikes a chord with you? What I really appreciate about you, Robert, is that not only are you sensible and thoughtful and rational, but that you also see things and are not afraid to call a spade a spade, or a tyrant a tyrant! I hope you will give some thought to helping Dr. Lee and other mental health professionals gain their proper place in the chaotic and ever-more frightening situation we find ourselves in. I don't think we are hearing enough about the horrific deeds being done by Netanyahu with support by Trump. I'm copying here the end of a powerful Substack post by Chris Hedges about the plan to remove the Palestinians from their country.

What do Israel and Washington believe will happen when the Palestinians are expelled from a land they have lived in for centuries? How do they think a people who are desperate, deprived of hope, dignity and a way to make a living, who are being butchered by one of the most technologically advanced armies on the planet, will respond? Do they think creating a Danteesque hell for the Palestinians will blunt terrorism, curb suicide attacks and foster peace? Can they not grasp the rage rippling through the Middle East and how it will implant a hatred towards us that will endure for decades?
The genocide in Gaza is the greatest crime of this century. It will come back to haunt Israel. It will come back to haunt us. It will usher to our doorsteps the evil we have perpetrated on the Palestinians.
