Oh that sign Stop Pretending Your Racism is Patriotism….that’s epic. I often wear my “Everyone Is Welcome Here” tee shirt with the hands of many races holding up hearts, and people come up to me in droves. Some know the story of Sarah Inama, some just like the message. Read about Sarah here and join the thousands of school teachers who bought the shirt and displayed the poster in solidarity with her struggle: https://www.nea.org/nea-today/all-news-articles/idaho-teacher-who-refused-back-down

Great idea. I have no problem sending a message to the many 100s on my email contacts list regarding No Kings Day, March 28, and will do so.

"Trump’s inability to understand and appreciate the sacrifice that he is demanding from men and women who volunteered to defend their country is appalling."

Yes it is. What is also appalling to me is that "defending their country" is not really what these men and women are being called to do. We weren't in any immediate threat from Iran. This breaks my heart.

this war is a complete act of madness. It cannot be understood through analysis, the way most media outlets are trying to sane-wash it. I did this professionally for 45 years; this one is a case of one. Sheer madness. I go there in my latest Substack post on Sheathed Sword: https://sheathedsword.substack.com/p/this-be-madness

It is time for the business owners and citizens of Washington, DC to make plans to not participate in and bring to a halt any activity planned by the convicted felon on July 4, 2026.

Everyone else from outside DC, must cancel any plans to celebrate the 4th there.

You can have a party, but if no one shows up, it sure makes you look like a fool.

How about Boston or Minneapolis hosting a counter 4th of July celebration?

I hear that the Boston Pops will already be having a big bash along the Charles.

Kind of a “When we said No Kings 250 years ago, that’s really what we meant” party.

Absolutely.

A 4th of July counter celebration in at least one city in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

US media should share pictures of the girls' school bombed last week. That would wake people up.

Don't you think the golf cap was to cover his balding pate? It's remarkably more thin than in the past. I always imagine that he was having a bad hair day or feared rain or even worse, wind( would blow cover-up of his carefully disguised thinning hair years ago, early first term I think, when he was supposed to go to that World War II burial site in Normandy.

It feels like Trump and co. are doing everything to break down America and ruin its economy to establish their idea of a new world order and replace the dollar with crypto. It feels intentional. I can’t prove that. But if that were their intention, I don’t see how they would be doing anything differently. I hope and pray “we the people” will be able to overcome this and prevail.

PS - I love the protest photos. They give me hope! Thank you Robert for posting them every day. We need this community

Robert, I love everything you stand for. But in titling today’s column, referring to “reversing the damage” was wholly insensitive to the loss of lives that can never be reversed.

I am happy that they oil price is going up and more people will feel the results of this regime in their daily lives. Maybe that will get them to join us activist who have seen this coming. I’m also happy to lose money in the stock market, if it will wake people up. I welcome the crash.

An idea: A No Kings Day shirt to PROMOTE our upcoming protest. . .so. . . it would need to have the date on it. Large and clear: 3-28-26. And we could start wearing it now to "advertise" this important event and swell the ranks! I looked online but couldn't find any with this future date. Does anyone know of any possible resources for such?

did you google "buy no kings day 3/28/26 shirt"? sometimes you can find things if you are very specific. did you look on Etsy?

As further evidence of Trump’s disdain for our troops, the NYTimes is reporting that thousands of health care positions at the VA are being eliminated. Why worry about taking care of those who have served our country? Disgraceful!

Where is Democratic leadership on this? Or more importantly, why am I having to ask this question instead of seeing every pro democracy news source being able to reference recent actions by Democratic leadership denouncing the illegal invasion and pledging that if given power in the 2026 elections they will use the power of congress to reign in Trump and stop the chaos?

Robert and friends...Now is the time to promote impeachment. He can do so much harm just between now and the mid-terms. Make up articles of impeachment and wave them in Republican faces in the campaign for the mid-terms.

Robert; thank you for your words of encouragement. Over the weekend I had some technical problems with sending messages; so this morning is a catchup.

Pete Hegseth’s appearance on 60 Minutes last night was a display of pure hubris that should alarm every reader. His overconfidence in our "non-war" agenda is leading us toward global rejection as this administration—Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Miller, Bondi, Patel and company—pursues what looks like world domination. They are gambling on a myth of invincibility while ignoring the inevitable consequences of international revenge. We must ask: do we truly believe our military power makes us untouchable? War is a crushing expense, and at a billion dollars a day, we are bankrupting our future for Middle Eastern conquest. Our bank account is not bottomless, and it’s time we acted like it. Enough is enough!
