I can correct that for you Cheryl. The polar vortex turned the temperature here down -and made it brutally uncomfortable for J.D. Vance and ICE to commit more atrocities in our streets. We layered up and showed the cowards what Democracy looks like. Decidedly.
Former MN Supreme Court Justice and Viking player Alan Page attended the protest. The man is 80 years old. More than 200 clergy flew into Minnesota just to support the strike - and shut down MSP airport by singing, chanting and kneeling in prayer in front of the doors in below zero temps and dangerous windchills.
Our local food shelf made a request for extra help this week - with a drop off option at my favorite regional park. I shopped on Thursday so I could honor the no shopping strike yesterday and went to drop it in the morning at the visitor center. The parking lot was quite full - and volunteers with wagons were out to help transport the items. We were all invited inside for a bit of camaraderie and a warm drink. Since I couldn’t attend the protest ( hip replacement surgery coming up in two weeks) sitting with my neighbors and watching the video of faith leaders willingly kneeling and be arrested to protest ICE’s lawlessness in sub zero temps was the next best thing - not a dry eye in the house. Filled my bucket in a way it hadn’t been filled in more than a year. I hope it fills those reading!
On Monday, we’ll be back to work and school and continuing to support our neighbors. I can only hope that all those in the path of the giant storm happening now can find ways to be safe. Love to you all from Minnesota.

It's hard to contain the anger and horror that springs up when I see Nazi tactics being used on innocent men, women and CHILDREN and so many religious leaders in Minnesota. This should be a huge story in ALL the media.

Which Democrats in the Senate and House have the gumption to take a big swing at the DHS funding bill, for those agencies now in major disrepute for their brazenly criminal and anti-constitutional processes. Can you tie the funding to a sensible immigration reform bill with fair enforcement practices, which I suspect the Democrats already have ready on the shelf. This would further galvanize public opinion favorably for the Democrats and remove the Trumpian underpinnings for his gestapo ICE enforcement army. Recall Trump blocked the Biden/GOP senate effort to pass even a bad reform bill because he wanted the racist issues to campaign on, and to have a void in the law as an excuse to militarize his gestapo partisan tactics all over the country. An effort like this by the Democrats should be heard loud and clear by all media and all people through the bull horn of the outrageous daily news and imagery tearing up all our media outlets.

Let's call it what it is; Liam Ramos, his dad, and the 2yo girl who was taken the next day were kidnapped and, apparently, transported over state lines which means that Kristi Gnome has violated a federal law again. She needs to be impeached, convicted, and removed from office with all available prejudice against her ever serving in government again.
Call your Congresspeople and Senators and demand the release of the full Epstein files, and removal of DHS funding from the budget process until Jonathan Ross and the newest killer(s) are arrested and arraigned for the murders they committed.

When I learned that Tom Suozzi had voted to fund ICE I felt gut punched. I worked hard for him and donated all I could to his campaign. So I wrote a message to him telling him how disappointed I was and how I wished that I could take back everything I did for him. I did phone banks with groups in California. If you know California activists let them know about Suozzi’s vote and ask if they could write a note letting him know how they feel.
