Such a lovely tribute on Memorial Day. We the people carry on the pursuit of justice and liberty. I am honored to be a part of it with Robert, Jill and my fellow patriots.
REPORTERS IN A POSITION TO : At a press conference ASK President Trump to tell the country the story of Memorial Day and what President Lincoln said about what our army fought and died for at Gettysburg .
Wonderful signs ! Thank you for posting them, Robert. This citizen action should give us all hope … and mobilize us to do more than we are doing. As you write, “ This all will end when enough of us say NO.”
Each of you who attended a protest, made more original, artistic signs, organized yourselves for photos, you who sent them to Robert who faithfully continues to share through Today’s Edition, thank you for all of it. When a serious agnostic is inspired in this spiritual way, you’ve got some power. Appreciate each and every one of you.
I just listened to this week's episode of the #SistersInLaw podcast and trump's slush fund was one of the major topics. I highly recommend listening to their perspectives:
The sentiments in this post are right on. This morning I heard retired Lieutenant General Mark Hertling talk about his thoughts on this Memorial Day. What a great man. He has 253 cards with information and pictures of soldiers who died under his command that he keeps in a box that says "Make it matter..." He takes a few out every day and thinks about them and where those fallen possibly would be today had they survived. I read about other heroes including someone like Josephine Baker whose feats of bravery are mind boggling as she helped defeat the nazis and then I think about the feckless cowards that are called Republicans and the corporate, university and legal leaders who have taken a knee and I want to puke. I have nothing but disdain for them and the anti-democratic conservative justices of the Supreme Court, especially Roberts, who have destroyed voting rights, abortion rights and given the green light of immunity to a crime boss. It is disgusting that these people who take an oath to the Constitution don't stand up for the democratic principles therein that this country is supposedly founded on. I love the Pro-Democracy Protest Photos and want to give a big hats off to the Staten Island Action Coalition. This totally surprised me because I know Staten Island votes Republican and the fact that they protest in front of the only Republican MAGA cult representative from NYC is very cool. Also, kudos to the my home protest place of Pittsfield, MA with protesters who persist out there!
AMEN! Thank you for reminding in such an articulate way what the stakes are! Im sure many deceased veterans are rolling in their graves at this era’s betrayals!
You say "WE have been CONSECRATED!" I really needed to hear that, Robert. I think we all did. Thank you for this new perspective of our crucial role in this oh so difficult fight for democracy and why and how we keep at it. "Consecrated." We must let that sink in. Our power.

My father was a World War II Veteran and POW for 444 days.
One of my many protest signs says “My dad fought Nazis, so do I”.
But we are sending our troops into the Middle East to face danger thanks to the idiotic policies of the Trump administration!!
I thought of you, Robert, when I read this line in a recent Guardian article by editor-in-
chief Katherine Viner: "Hope is about having faith that we have the power and the agency to change the future." (15 May 2026, p. ll)

Robert—like the Gettysburg address, your Memorial Day message is short, powerful, and profound.

Cheryl, me too. I’ve been there on class trips and as an adult. It is a very sacred place.
More than enough, Sir, for this evening ... and the coming weeks.
Thanks!

Here is an idea to solve the problem: EDMV - Every Democrat MUST Vote. Pass it on…

Thank you, Robert. I am so grateful for your presence in the world, especially in this struggle for justice and fairness for all.
