Robert, you comment that it appears Trump is being played for a fool. I feel that

Phillips Obrien's take on the conflict, that Trump is actually playing all of us for a fool, makes more sense. Trump despises Zelensky and admires Putin. His actions belie his words and have made Russia's position meaningfully stronger and Ukraine's weaker.

Any chance we can somehow watch the party on feb. 1 to be part of it too?

Sharing my little project today--new card for printing two-sided and leaving everywhere I go. This one is Texas-specific but could be revised for other states.

Robert: With the new year upon us, we also will be seeing more of each day filled with the light of the Sun, now that the Winter Solstice has passed. I am hopeful and optimistic we will also be seeing the light of a free democracy continue to get brighter from the many freedom fighters who have had their fill of autocracy and who are demanding justice and liberty for all ! The tide is turning! Robert. your contribution is unparalleled! Thank you!

Just like We the People here, the citizens of Ukraine there affected by paper agreements have the power, right, and incentive to refuse to be governed by unfavorable conditions administered by faithless, self-serving politicians.

Never mind. I found a Forbes article that explains the recent changes to USPS postmark rules. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyphillipserb/2025/12/22/a-simple-postmark-change-could-affect-your-taxes-and-charitable-giving/

In today's email News From the States sent out a map of the US and if you click on each state a news source that contributes to their newsletter reporting an important happening each day on the state level appears. I know I am far from alone with feeling I wish I could do justice to all those news sources that have taken over from what is lacking in the legacy news. Just incase you are not aware of this resource or are interested in this resource i am posting a link to the map. https://statesnewsroom.com/?emci=f24175ba-cfe4-f011-8195-000d3a1d58aa&emdi=9ee7a3d5-e0e4-f011-8195-000d3a1d58aa&ceid=473580

On a separate note, I read somewhere that it was Steven Miller's thought that by starting a war in Venezuela, ICE could now have the pretext for arresting and deporting immigrants in the USA.

It sounds like an argument that might be full of legal loopholes? Your thoughts?

Considering that during WW II we interned Japanese wrongfully but did not to people who were of German backgrounds his thoughts on that fail miserably. BUT then he's as twisted in his thoughts as Trump. He might jump to that conclusion.

I love how you share perspectives that no one else seems to have. "A post-war, industrialized democracy that is still struggling to heal the wounds of a great civil war while being led by a narcissistic demagogue who seeks to reopen those wounds to maximize his profit in a post-truth world in which disinformation is currency." R. Hubble. This is so accurate in explaining our situation. Thanks.

I am inspired every time you share with us Robert! And by the dedication of each one of us. It is overused perhaps, but it is true that we are stronger together. And I would add, especially when we look clearly at what we DO want, and move forward with determination to create that. I'm so grateful for this group!

Wise words on 2026. I think the Dems will win big, but they need to have a focus and solidarity and, as you wisely say, they cannot rely on the Republicans to just lose. If they do, they may lose in 2028. We can do this!

This is another great Hubbell post. I think the messages therein are all excellent and the observation about the Ukraine negotiations are right on. This administration has acted terribly in terms of making Ukraine safe and coming out of the conflict somewhat whole and at least secure. Whatever Putin has on DT (maybe from Epstein) has really hurt Ukraine. There is so much more we could be doing and would have been doing under a different President who cared about democracy and being against an aggressor nation. The protest photos are awesome and inspiring.
