I continue to think the only real solution to SCOTUS is for Congress to pass a law repealing Marbury v Madison. Could you address this is one of your newsletters?
The reason that we have a jungle primary is that a two party system keeps out people who go against the main party stance. So Progressive Dems frequently do not make it to the General. The hope by many was that having a jungle party, that Progressives or moderate Libertarians could make it to the General. What we actually need is ranked choice voting. If we had ranked choice voting, California would not have the current problem.
Thank you for the positivity. We need that. We need to know that all our collective efforts are working. As for the importance of May Day actions, I think back to the many years that workers protested and fought for an 8-hour work week. And now we are reaping the benefits of what those workers achieved. We can do the same now, we can reform the Supreme Court, we can shut down the detention camps, we can uphold reproductive rights, we can uphold same-sex marriage, we can uphold the 14th and 15th amendments so that voter rights are upheld, and use our voices and actions through the First Amendment to speak out against the tyranny.
Such a good discussion of Marc Elias. My take on him was he is angry and disgusted with the situation. I support him. His appearances on MS NOW probably generate donations. Those of us who are fighting for our democracy donate to the litigators. Marc Elias, Sky Perry, Contrarians, Legal AF, ACLU, SPLC……many more. We all have to take action to fight for our democracy in all the ways we can. 💯💯‼️‼️🥰🥰

Thank you for the five alarm fire! I’ve been saying that for so long. I wonder when the people around me will wake up and realize things are not normal and are not going back to normal. May is looking like a very long month.. Can Cailfornians do what I think they should do? My mantra is vote for candidates on the basis of what they have accomplished, not what they say they will do.
And one other thought here. Any one of the three Dems who drops out will remain a hero of democracy. And if, in a few days from now a second one drops, out we will win almost for sure if they do it soon enough. Our objective is to have at least one Democrat on the November ticket. The clock is ticking.
