I believe the correct strategy in these circumstance is to not mount a litigation based legal challenge to the federal monitors in the state elections with no federal nexus. So far, Democrat governors have been all talk and "see you in court" in their opposition to Trump's unbounded lawlessness. I believe the correct move is to arrest the federal monitors on state law violations (even if they should be sketchy) and hustle them off the stage and into jails so that voting can proceed without them. This is not dissimilar to maneuvers out of the Trumpian playbook that SCOTUS then endorses with its shadow docket rulings. Trump is fond of knowingly and intentionally breaking the law with the attitude of "stop me if you can." He accomplishes his purposes even when a court finally rules that his actions were illegal. What's good for the goose is fair game for the gander, and Democrat politicians need to stop fighting with pens on the battlefield. We are in a war whether we acknowledge it in those terms or refer to it as a fight to preserve democracy and the rule of law.
We fly Trump and his posse to South East Asia, drop them off, leave them there, turn the plane around and come home…outrageously handled as he is doing right now…
I have a question I hope this is the right place to ask it.. well actually 2 questions. !. Why cant Reps return and at least meet and talk even if they cant decide or pass anything? The other questions is, what does Johnson hope to gain by postponing? They have to return sometime. Is there something he is hoping will happen that will take all the wind out of the Epstein Files' issue making it more of a non issue? And should we even consider what that might be so we an prepare or is this type of strategizing non productive? Thank you.
Why haven't the provisions of National Historic Preservation Act been invoked. Presumably, Trump has already canceled/vetoed the Act. If so, another suggestion: compile a list of all the contractors who are engaged in demolition and/or construction of the Trump/Epstein Ball Room then spread the information nationwide and boycott the suppliers for their treasonous activities. There must be a playbook somewhere as to how to save a democracy, the opposite of Orban's playbook on plunging a democracy into chaos.
Amendment XXI repealed Amendment XVIII after 14 years of prohibition. Yet both appear today in our Constitution proving that we keep a record of our history. Trump is ordering the removal of exhibits in our museums that remind us of the role that slavery played in our history. This past week he ordered the destruction of the East Wing of the White House with no permission from the People or their representatives. Tyrants do those kinds of things with impunity. If we cannot muster 3.5 % of adult voters to demonstrate in the streets then we will lose our rights of citizenship and become subjects of a succession of tyrants.
