Dominion Voting bought by a Republican. We must follow this story.

Legal mambo jumbo does not cut it! Look at Peru and even Venezuela. They are working to get rid of the corruption. Why are we so polite? Or lazy? This is autocratic BS and has got to be stopped.!!!!!

I belong to the Ormond Beach Democratic Club and attend their meetings regularly. I read your substack almost daily and appreciate your explanation of what is happening in our nation.

What I would like to know is what is happening to the dollars that are being collected by the democratic party. Everyday I receive 3 to 5 requests from the local, state, or national democratic party or some democratic committee wanting me to chip in $10 to $1,000 for their cause. Well, I used to send what I could but my well is just about dry and I want to know what I am getting for my money.

When Trump was first elected and took office I was in shock. I could not believe that the American people could even think about putting a man like him in office. Then, I entered another phase of shock to see noone doing anything to stop him and his hate filled agenda. I continue to be amazed that he has not been thrown out of office for his actions. What is it going to take?

Ooops! I see I posted about a sign meant to show the animal famous for playing dead. Of course I meant possum, but wrote raccoon.

Robert, will all of these folks maliciously indicted be able to sue the individuals responsible personally for civil damages?

Thank you Robert for the closing from the Declaration of Independence.

We often talk here about how the MSM is not doing their job. I sent this email to CNN this morning.

You guys need to do better in your reporting to help protect our democracy. I am particularly disappointed in Jake Tapper, who seems to always excuse Trump's behavior as "Trump being Trump." Trump's behavior and his comments, posts, and speeches are not normal, and if Biden did or said even a small fraction of what Trump is doing, Tapper and all of CNN would be reporting on him unfavorably. Trump is not well, and CNN is giving him a pass instead of reporting accurately on the danger of his comments. When he calls Democrats the "enemy within" that is not normal. When he says it's ok to blow fishing boats out of the water because they are carrying drugs (without any proof) that is not normal. Every time

Trump threatens his political opponents, calls Democrats names, and deploys National Guard troops to American cities, CNN should be reporting on how dangerous his behavior is. The most recent outrage is your decision to call the Department of Defense the Department of

War. Even though this is what Trump and Hegseth want to call it, this is not an official name change because that must be approved by Congress. I don't understand why you are capitulating on this unless it is somehow to curry favor with Trump. If that is the reason, you must know that it won't work. Trump only cares about himself, and the moment that CNN does something he doesn't like, he will come after you just like he always comes after those who oppose him. So calling the Department of Defense the Department of War is a ridiculous decision, and one that I hope you will rescind. When major media outlets obey in advance, our country is in trouble. Do better.

And then there's climate change. Sure to affect those in the jungles of Africa (thinking of Jane Goodall) as well as on the streets of Washington DC (thinking of Congress). Just because Trump downplays the risks, doesn't necessarily mean he's right. "Ex-Fed Official Sees Secular ‘Shocks’ Ahead From Extreme Weather"

A friend shared this with me today and I thought of your Daily Dose of Perspective. I thought you and others would appreciate it. Thank you for all your hard work.

Ok, protesters, stop hanging the American flag upside down. It is an abuse of flag protocol if there is not an urgent, emergency situation.

Now, I know we all feel we are in an urgent, emergency situation to save the US from authoritarianism, but that is not the kind of emergency that signal was devised for.

And I don't want to hear one "whataboutism."

I love the picture of our planet from that perspective.

Does everyone know about this interesting group: https://statesunited.org/breaking-through/. Gave me heart, that much is going on behind our Scenes......also people like the sign-holder: 'Bring Back Humanity to U.S.' And glad for reminder of self-centeredness in the sign-holder: "Me-Me-Me!..." T, tuning up for his aria!

Thank you for your newsletters. They are a source of information, of course, but also gives a glimmer of hope that all is not lost.

Robert, Robert, Robert. You have to note that under John Roberts' Court, what you say applies only when Democrats are in power. "If the judges in the Comey and James cases do not dismiss on grounds of vindictive prosecution, then the doctrine will cease to exist as a check on prosecutorial misconduct."

Susan Linehan's avatar

Quite apart from the vindictive aspect of the indictment of James, DOJ has to prove that James INTENDED at the time of getting the loan to use it as a rental. There is no fraud without this intent. If she didn't, and later changed her mind and rented it, that's a breach of contract with the lender, but DOJ has no grounds for pursuing a criminal action for breach of contract.

Who exactly is going to testify that James intended to defraud?

Also, note the indictment is on different grounds from the criminal referral. (that was for claiming it would be a PRIMARY residence THAT was refuted by the actual paperwork. For some reason the criminal referral was discussing a mortgage in 2023, not 2020. Which is it?

Sent of my batch of letters urging Californians to vote on Prop 50 on Wednesday. Hoping California will lead the way and vote overwhelmingly to adopt the proposition.
