Robert, you must listen to this young man wrt election systems interference. Nathan from Election Truth Alliance. He spoke on the Left Hook. A documented presentation of widespread election interference in the 2024 election. Please, everyone, watch this.

Todd Blanche should be disbarred.

Happy Birthday, Jill! Have a lovely vacation in Scotland where the lands are lush and the people are ever so wonderful.

Robert, thank you for your unending positivity. I do think Blanche will shoot himself in the foot (as he has many times) in the confirmation hearing. Every single person Trump nominates should be rejected.

I hope you find some time and space away from all this craziness, while celebrating all you can in Scotland. I think Trump really doesn’t care about the mid-terms because there are plans to foul that election. He always tells us what he is planning, we just can’t believe anyone would do whatever it takes.

A good post and I appreciate the comments about Blanche. How could any self-respecting Senator vote to confirm this lying, amoral, sycophant to be AG? We have to stay focused on not just the weaponization fund but the ridiculous immunity Blanche wants to give Batsby and his disgusting immoral sons. I think I read that he already is facing 100 million in penalties and owed taxes from audits and this is just pure quid pro quo corruption, as Robert says. You can't make a deal with yourself to give yourself and your sons immunity for life for tax fraud that you have already committed and will commit in the future because of a settlement of a fake suit against your own IRS in which you have not proven one dime in damages but just picked a big number and then used that to "settle" for 1.8 billion and immunity. It makes no sense. It is the ultimate corrupt grift. He is creating a fund and immunity out of whole cloth based on no legitimate lawsuit. It is so corrupt it burns.

I wonder if the "fund" is a kind of fishing expedition meant to distract from the tax immunity. Seems likely.

Happy Birthday, Jill. I hope you both have a wonderful trip.

Regarding the Trump's line, "I don't care about the midterms." Could mean he "doesn't care" or it could mean he believes he already has a plan to stop the midterms. In my mind there is no question he will try to stop the mid-terms. We must anticipate his possible moves and have plans ready to respond. We can anticipate and forestall his next moves if we think them through now.

My understanding of the War Powers Resolution is that it is a law passed by Congress over President Nixon's veto. The Congress "invokes" the law with their votes; they are not passing a new law. So Trump cannot veto this action by the Congress. Is this incorrect?

I would also like the answer to this interesting question.

Happy Birthday to Jill and wishing you both a delightful trip.

I have to wonder if perhaps the votes from Repugs supporting the War Powers Resolution wasn't actually a plan from Felon47 to get him out of this without having to take any position himself. Could this be a recently planned exit strategy to get the US out of the mess in a way that Felon47 can just say "Congress ended it" and take no personal responsibility? It just looks too much like a sneaky escape route for the demented Felon47.

Happy birthday to your wife. Have fun in Scotland. My son is going over there for 2 weeks to golf. He’s a fantastic golfer but I told him if he golfs in a Trump course he’s out of the will.😂😂. He laughed mom of course I won’t. Thank god for small favors.

HB to Jill! 💐There must be some really really bad stuff about drumpf in the epstein files. He and the cronies are working hard to see that the American people never see them. But I have faith that we will, and soon!

I hope this isn't nitpicking. In part, the NYT article quoted in today's newsletter says, "The president's reluctance to reignite the war suggests he might be willing to ________." Nothing has changed at the NYT. It still portrays Trump as being normal and competent. It credits him with non-existent decision-making. Why continue with false representations of his acuity, especially in the context of the war and its worldwide consequences?

Why not say what is true? The president is completely out of it, has no understanding of the trouble he's given the world, and no capacity to walk away as Congress has just invited him to do. Instead, he's concerned about his 80th birthday party, fake wrestling and being audited by the IRS.

A question for the ages: "Why not say what is true?"
